Are You Keeping Everything Together?
Are you keeping everything together?
Or maybe you aren’t keeping it all together. Sometimes I feel like I am just a train on a track. I know where my stops are, I know what I have to complete that day, I have a check list but it all feels like I did the same thing the day before. Anyone else?
Something I enjoy doing to remove myself from the “daily grind” is changing up my workouts. When our E Man was 9 months old I ran a half marathon. Let me also say, I DID NOT WANT TO RUN A HALF MARATHON! I dreaded it from the beginning. One of my close girl friends talked me into doing it with her. Her dream and goal, (not mine) but I committed to doing it and knew it would be fun to do it with her. Long story short, I bought a treadmill during training. Well, now we have a treadmill and I promise I will not be training for another half marathon BUT sometimes I truly enjoy putting my headphones in and running. Running to the music, singing along and even getting a few dance moves in.
So now, once or twice a week I run. I run and clear my thoughts, clear my mind, clear my heart. Maybe it’s yoga for you. Maybe it’s a walk down the street. But what I do know, moving your body in different ways daily is a healthy rhythm that I don’t ever want to stop.
So, the moral to my story…if you feel that you are in a rut with the same ole’ routine, change it up. Just change it up.
