You are Worth Clean Beauty

Clean, what does that really mean? To most, clean means “mostly good for me” or to some it could mean “overpriced.” Wherever you fall, I hope you can take a minute to read what clean stands for in this business.

‘Clean Beauty’ is a catch phrase so many companies have been coining lately. I hear it almost daily in a tv commercial or an instagram add. But what I don’t hear is WHY it’s clean. What are the ingredients this company is banning? Where are they sourcing these ingredients? Are they continuing to test their products before each one is packaged? Will they actually throw that product or batch of products away if they test positive for toxins? These are all questions that seem to run through my mind when I see these adds. What is your take on clean beauty?

When we say clean, we mean clean. Clean beauty starts with safety. Since the launch in 2013, Beautycounter has created a ‘Never List.’ This list now, consists of 1,800 questionable ingredients they never use in formulations. They also screen and assess every ingredient they use against their strict safety standards. It’s an ever-evolving toolbox of clean, sustainable ingredients that they use to create innovative formulas that deliver results safely. (Quoted from Beautycounter.com)

Beautycounter- a movement. A group of leaders running different businesses on their own terms, in their own way, linking arms together to fight for better ingredients, ethically sourced ingredients, better regulations, stricter laws, and a standard for clean. This friends, has become a passion.

Why Did I Choose Beautycounter?

That question was simple then and still is today. Beautycounter chooses to be the leader in creating clean products for your entire family. Bodycare, skincare, makeup, men’s products and kids. In all honesty, they do it all. I was pregnant at the time when I joined as a consultant. I started to do small amounts of research on what I was using on my body and in my body. It didn’t take me long to realize I wanted to purchase all of the products I had read about with Beautycounter. It also didn’t take me long to know I wanted to share this with friends and family. I wanted them and those I loved to be using better products. So I too joined the movement. I couldn’t stop sharing. It was word vomit and honestly, it still is. This “side hustle” turned into passion, which then turned into my main gig.

One thing I was really impressed with as I started to try more products, was how they were high performing and comparable to your big players in the beauty world such as Tarte, Mac, La Mer, Bobby Brown, NARS, just to name a few. I was hooked and never looked back. Throughout the last three years I’ve been with Beautycounter, I continue to see the growth and innovation they have put into place with consistently creating new products which in return is consistently creating new formulas. I know this isn’t a company that is planning to slow down anytime soon. Honestly, I think they are just getting started!
