What Have You Been Wearing Lately?
With clothes, i’m all in. Anyone have the same mindset? I am constantly trying to find the right pair of jeans, an online boutique I can really get behind, a swimsuit I love, shorts that are the perfect fit, etc. I am the try-on queen. With that being said, COVID has made it pretty difficult to shop in stores. I am now the return queen because dressing rooms are still closed.
So, I’ve picked 5 things that I can truly say have caught my eye and will be staple pieces for me this Summer and into Fall.
Jeans: I am a sucker for jeans but I am not a sucker for the “mom jean” style. I still enjoy that mid-rise jean that hugs where it should and doesn’t bring to much attention to where it shouldn’t. Currently I am enjoying the Old Navy mid-rise rockstar super skinny jean. Lots of options, colors and styles. A current staple piece in my wardrobe.
Graphic Tee’s: I am officially sold on a graphic tee. I have come to find a new found respect for them. A blogger I follow on Instagram Natalie Taylor @discoveryourcoset pairs her cute graphic tees with so many different styles in so many different ways. One that she turned me on to is from a woman owned business called A Spoonful of Faith linked here, grab one!
Shorts: I have been going back and forth between a pair from Old Navy and a few pairs from Loft. I am constantly trying to find a happy medium between “I’m a cool mom” and “I’m not a grandma” status. Both of these have landed right on that fine line I would still call “cool” for this mom to wear! Link to both here!
Bathing Suits: So this one might be the toughest yet. Bathing suits just suck. Yup, I said it. After having kids you are hoping to hid most things but still mange to get eyes from your hubby, can I get an ‘Amen’? The last one I have really enjoyed once I tried it on came from Amazon. I love the scalloped look on a bathing suite but I also love a flattering high waisted bottom. This one checks all the boxes. Link here!
Shoes: I love shoes. I love finding a perfect outfit for each pair. BUT I know that we can only truly have just a couple pairs we are really crazy about. A shoe that can be versatile, go with multiple outfits but also be comfortable. I will link 3 pairs that truly could go with me anywhere and if I only had these 3 pairs, I think I’d be just fine (minus a pair of tennis shoes but I still haven’t found my forever pair yet). First, a flat sandal. I really just love my Tory Burch emblem sandal. They are comfy and super cute. Second; a versatile wedge. I grabbed these recently from Target and surprisingly enough, they are so comfortable. They can be easily dressed up or dressed down. Third; a pair of Birkenstocks. Ladies and gentlemen, I LOVE BIRKENSTOCKS! They are easy to wear, easy to make look cute, easy to dress down, and just so comfortable! All three pairs linked here:
